API Usage Terms

These API Usage Terms govern access to and use of the GST Verify APIs, API keys, developer documentation, dashboard, test mode, live mode, credits, logs, and related technical services provided by Rasonix Technologies. By creating an account, generating an API key, integrating the API, making API requests, or purchasing credits, you agree to these API Usage Terms.

1. Scope and Acceptance

These API Usage Terms apply to all developers, customers, businesses, employees, contractors, systems, applications, and third-party tools that access or use the GST Verify API. These terms are in addition to the website Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, pricing terms, order forms, and any separate written agreement executed with Rasonix Technologies.

2. API Access and Credentials

API access is provided through unique API keys, secrets, tokens, account credentials, dashboard access, or other authentication methods issued by Rasonix Technologies. Customers are responsible for keeping API keys confidential, restricting internal access, rotating keys where necessary, and immediately informing us of any suspected misuse, leak, compromise, or unauthorised access.

3. Nature of the API Service

The API provides GSTIN verification, GST taxpayer lookup, and related business information retrieval through software interfaces. It is an information technology service only. The API does not provide legal, tax, accounting, audit, compliance, financial, professional, ITC, invoice, or vendor genuineness advice.

4. Upstream Data Dependency

API responses may depend on third-party data providers, GST-related systems, public records, government-linked systems, network availability, and other upstream sources. Rasonix Technologies does not create, control, modify, certify, or guarantee the underlying GST registration data. Accuracy, availability, freshness, continuity, and completeness depend on the relevant upstream source at the time of request.

5. No Government Affiliation

Rasonix Technologies is an independent private technology service provider. We are not GSTN, CBIC, the Government of India, any State GST authority, or the official GST portal. Customers must not represent the API, API results, dashboard, documentation, or reports as official government certification, GSTN endorsement, tax approval, or compliance clearance.

6. Test Mode and Live Mode

Test mode, sandbox responses, demo credits, sample payloads, and documentation examples are provided for integration testing only. They must not be used for live business, tax, compliance, procurement, credit, vendor approval, or legal decisions. Customers are responsible for correctly switching between test and live environments and validating their own implementation before production use.

7. Permitted Use

Customers may use the API only for lawful internal business purposes such as GSTIN verification, vendor or customer onboarding checks, invoice data validation, business record verification, KYC support, procurement workflows, ERP/CRM workflows, and compliance-support workflows, subject to applicable law, the subscribed plan, these API Usage Terms, and any separate written agreement.

8. Prohibited Use and Abuse

Customers must not use the API for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, privacy-invasive, or abusive purposes. Customers must not scrape, harvest, bulk-download, create competing databases, resell, sublicense, redistribute, expose API access to unauthorised third parties, reverse engineer, bypass rate limits, abuse API keys, attempt unauthorised access, overload the Service, impersonate government authorities, or misrepresent API results as a legal, tax, government, or compliance certificate.

9. Rate Limits, Fair Usage, and Throttling

API usage may be subject to request limits, fair usage rules, concurrency limits, IP restrictions, account-level limits, plan-level limits, credit balance checks, and security thresholds. We may throttle, delay, reject, queue, restrict, or block requests that exceed limits, create instability, indicate scraping, breach security rules, or affect the Service, upstream providers, other customers, or Rasonix Technologies.

10. Credits, Billing, and Chargeable Requests

API usage may operate through prepaid credits, free trial credits, paid credits, subscriptions, custom pricing, or enterprise arrangements. Credit deduction rules, validity, taxes, pricing, minimum balances, failed request handling, chargeable events, and refund treatment may vary by plan. Customers are responsible for maintaining sufficient balance and reviewing applicable pricing before sending chargeable requests.

11. Accuracy, Timestamp, and Re-verification

Each API result is valid only as of the date and time at which the response was fetched or generated. GST registration status, taxpayer details, legal name, trade name, address, and related information may change after verification. Customers must use fetched-at timestamps, maintain their own records, and perform fresh verification wherever required before relying on information for business, tax, legal, procurement, or compliance decisions.

12. Customer Responsibility and Compliance

The Customer is solely responsible for its API integration, data inputs, workflow decisions, reliance on API outputs, internal approvals, user permissions, downstream display of results, and compliance with applicable privacy, data protection, GST, tax, contractual, and business laws. Customers must independently verify all information before using it for financial, legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, procurement, onboarding, or compliance decisions.

13. Security Obligations

Customers must implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards for API keys, access tokens, logs, dashboards, user accounts, servers, integrations, and downstream systems. Customers must not hard-code keys in public repositories, expose keys in client-side code, share credentials with unauthorised users, disable security controls, or use the API in a way that compromises system integrity or data security.

14. Logs, Audit Trail, and Monitoring

We may record and monitor API activity, including customer ID, API key used, GSTIN searched, request timestamp, response timestamp, IP address, endpoint, response status, error code, credits deducted, upstream reference, payload metadata, and technical logs for billing, audit, security, abuse prevention, debugging, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and service improvement. We do not guarantee permanent storage of logs or verification results.

15. Data Handling and Privacy

Customers represent that they have the lawful right, basis, consent, notice, or authorisation required to submit GSTINs, business identifiers, personal data, or other information to the API. Customers must not submit data unlawfully or use API results in violation of privacy, data protection, tax, GST, or business laws. Our handling of account data, usage logs, and related information is described in the Privacy Policy.

16. API Changes, Versioning, and Deprecation

We may modify, replace, discontinue, throttle, suspend, rename, restructure, or deprecate endpoints, fields, headers, response formats, authentication methods, documentation, pricing rules, error codes, integrations, or features due to technical, commercial, legal, regulatory, security, upstream provider, or operational reasons. We may provide notice where practical, but urgent changes may be made without prior notice.

17. Suspension, Restriction, and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, throttle, block, revoke API keys, or terminate API access if we detect abuse, scraping, suspicious usage, credential compromise, excessive requests, security risk, non-payment, breach of these terms, unauthorised resale, unlawful use, upstream provider restriction, regulatory direction, or any use that may harm Rasonix Technologies, upstream providers, other customers, or third parties.

18. Service Availability and SLA

The API may be unavailable, delayed, inaccurate, interrupted, rate-limited, or temporarily disabled due to maintenance, system failures, network issues, upstream provider downtime, GST-related system unavailability, force majeure, regulatory changes, security incidents, or operational reasons. Any uptime, response time, support commitment, or service credit applies only if expressly agreed in a separate written SLA or enterprise agreement.

19. No Tax, Legal, ITC, Invoice, or Vendor Guarantee

The API does not confirm or guarantee invoice validity, input tax credit eligibility, GST return correctness, vendor genuineness, supplier compliance, tax liability, fraud status, creditworthiness, business eligibility, or legality of any transaction. Customers must rely on official sources, professional advisors, internal controls, and independent human review before taking any action.

20. Intellectual Property and Documentation

All API endpoints, documentation, code samples, SDKs, workflows, schemas, dashboards, response structures, designs, systems, brand assets, and related materials are owned by Rasonix Technologies or its licensors. Customers receive only a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to access and use the API according to these terms and their active plan.

21. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rasonix Technologies shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, tax credits, input tax credit, opportunity, or losses arising from API reliance. Customers shall indemnify and hold Rasonix Technologies harmless from claims, penalties, damages, losses, and expenses arising from misuse, unlawful processing, breach of these terms, unauthorised resale, or reliance contrary to the API disclaimers.
